Sarvasiddha Vastu Devta Yantra

Vastu dosh is the term for a defect in how a building is laid out or oriented. The Sarvasiddha Vastu Devta Yantra is the plate traditionally installed to settle it, invoking the Vastu Purush who is said to preside over the ground a building stands on. Engraved by hand in copper, it carries a shatkona around a central Om with the words 'namo bhagavati vastu devtaye namo namah' beneath, and the directional markers around the star. It is kept in a new home, a shop or an office — or one where things have not felt settled — and is traditionally installed on an east or north wall, a little above eye level.
